Self-Adhesive Fire Tape

Fire Rated for 1-Hour Walls
E-Z Fire Tape has passed the full scale tests* for one-hour fire rated, vertically or horizontally hung wall systems, on both wood and steel stud construction with fire rated gypsum board.  E-Z Fire Tape is not rated for ceilings.

E-Z Fire Tape has been rated for use in Fire Wall construction in Canada by Intertek Testing Service since 2002. 

Tested to meet UBC Standard 7-1-1994, ASTM E119,
CAN/ULC-S101, NFPA 251 and UL 263 procedures.  The test assembly was conducted according to both U 465 and GA 1200 design.  Listed by ICC Evaluation Services, Inc.  Report ESR-1231

* Testing conducted by Intertek Testing Services, Warnock-Hersey, Inc. 1995

Now Fire Rated for 2-Hour Walls
E-Z Fire Tape is listed by Warnock Hersey for two-hour fire rated, vertically or horizontally hung wall systems, on both wood and steel stud construction with fire rated gypsum board.  
E-Z Fire Tape is not rated for ceilings.

This tape works well. You do need to use the plastic knife because of the fibers in the tape, but our inspector has appoved this product for 1 hour wall. We will buy more next week
